My I-486 Receipt Notice was lost in mail. So I don't have the Receipt notice to send.

Inspite of telling my lawyer she did the mistake of sending my EAD and AP before 120 day period. EAD filed 121 days prior and AP filed 148 days prior. I have gotten the receipts of both but AP status says that they have requested more information/evidence. I am wondering what additional information they need. Anyone else in this situation ?

In case one is using EAD and 485 rejected for some reason. you have 180 days to safe guard one self.

I have worked in Europe for 4+ years and i can say that life in US and Europe is the same (cost of living is higher in Europe but social security is better). I was seriously considering a move to UK (despite racism) to gain job/life freedom for me and my family. I have HSMP from UK and got a job offer that paid me better (including 35% raise in cost of living) than current US job with flexibility to change employment, also my wife could take up job any day she wants (unlike H4).

After seeing this type of RFE, it looks like IO comes under EB10 category but fortunately/ unfortunately EB10 does not exist that’s why they fall under citizen category.

DLs are all managed at State level, but there is an effort to standardize it. My wife applied for DL/Learner's permit in AZ. We had H4 valid thru Aug 31, and an extension starting Sep 1, but they refused to give us the extended period. Their explanation - the software would not allow it. They could not enter information based on 2 documents because the Notice of the extension did not become effective till Sep 1. We had to go back & get it extended, and they did it without another test. But we had to pay another fee.
And, I basically got a lifetime DL because I had applied way back in the good old days, 1998!

I did not receive my EAD card - It was approved on Aug 21st...Not sure what went wrong with USPS.

its uscis...they can do anything...logically they should have been returned by now.. but logic does not exist out there...we may think wherever there is life there is logic...but that only exists in logiclife. (yea PJ i know)

If your GC is getting approved today, then your priority date should be current, so I assume you will be (or would have) applied for dependent 485 for your wife (and son?) so they are going to be on AOS...

If this allows people to get EAD soon after getting approval for I140 I guess it should be good. Once a person gets EAD after 180 days he will be eligible to change employer. Also spouse will be able to work all the time we are waiting 5-7 years for PD to become current. Looks good to me.
I feel scenario that dates become accidentally current is quite rare. Am I missing something?

My labor is also pending with the Dallas BEC. My priority date is Nov 2001, non-RIR. The online system still shows that my case is in process.

I think poster bestia mentioned yesterday that you can somehow speed up the process if you pay a certain amount for faster processing? That's another thing I want to look into for my friend. May I ask you how you check the status of that online? I think she sent in the original application but she never got anything back so she doesn't have a case number or anything. Thanks!

Did u take Infopass appt. for EAD & AP together...? On the infopass form once fill only one receipt # right..?? My application was recd. by USCIS on 7/7...90 days is from recd. date...isn't it..? and not Notice date.? 90 days will be up for me by tomorrow 11/5..I still have no EAD & AP..! Can i take EAD & AP appt. together on same day for Infopass.? Or should i call USCIS reg. my case...Thanks..!!
There is no option in infopass to take both ead and AP. I took the one for interim-EAD , but like I mentioned above, this tuesday it will be 2 weeks after infopass and still no EAD for me, wonder how AP got approved without EAD , does it happen like this ?

I too have the same issue of not getting any RN nor the checks are cashed. Its been a month now. Today I called USCIS and they told me to wait for another month since no one has touched the application yet.

This is a very positive development. Chinese are suing based on EB3 China visas used in 2008 & 2009 which were 2058 and 1077 respectively. Which are far less than 2500 that the law actually allows without spillover. This is awesome. Go Chinese friends!

Consular processing itself will happen when date is currentl. However, there is a form that your friend can fill out (which basically moves I 140 from USCIS to another agency which I think is called National visa/benefit center, which in turn sends it to consular post once the date is current.
In other words, your friend will have to get out of 485 line and ask for I 140 to be put in another line (for consular processing) and wait for PD to become current.
During this entire time, the prospective employer should have empty position for the candidate and good faith intention to hire him permanently once he gets is GC. Also, they may send RFE to employer to explain how will he manage for next several years before your friend can join the firm. As long as prospective employer answers all these to their satisfaction, your friend can still get his GC once his PD becomes current (via consular processing).

I got my I140 approved today after the RFE I received last week. I checked online status today and it is now appearing that Approval Notice Sent. My employer sent the documents last week quickly. Now it is approved.
