I guess people are willing to shell out few extra hundreds as long as it expedites the process. Anyway thousands are being spent on attorney's instead if all this money goes to USCIS, atelast things gets done faster. Ofcourse the string attached to this is that the money should be spent for improving process rather than fattening the pockets of few. I am also told that most of the fee money goes towards the Border security ( May be taking money from legal applicants to curb illegals)

I see that RFE is requested on my I-485 along with my wife application. I haven't received the notice yet. Could you please let me know if any july 2007 filers have RFEs on their cases.

I went to AZ-DMV showed them my I485 receipt. The representative didn't know about the new ID law that this is enough as a legal document. I need to asked for the supervisor to get my license renewed.
They did not accept the I-485 receipt... They did accept the EAD and renew based on that...

if we are already using EAD from EB3 - 485 , are we still allowed to apply for another labor with EB2 ? and port the dates from EB3 while applying for EB2 - 140

Perhaps I am missing something. I thought you could get an extension beyond six years only if:
1. Your labor was pending for more than 360 days OR
2. Your I-140 was approved

I just came back from doc..and he charged 400 dollars (xray will cost more in next few days. Anyways, he says he need to administer Tetnus 3 times (6 months apart).
I am not sure what he will say in report (which i get in couple of days). But my question to you all is :
When Shots are given with time lag, Is 485 processed normally or RFE happens or do USCIS just wait for all shots to be completed and submission of report by doc before they process anything?

thanks desertfox ! i I did apply before July 30, 2007 (recd. date for 485 is 7/17/07) which means that i do have to pay the fees for AP. I will go ahead and apply online.

u should just do a walk in and see. i did a walk in with my wife and the guard did not even look for the date. just walk in and see what happens.. dont say u r there to prepone...if they see the date at that time..request/beg them based on ur circumstances.
I did mine in Southern california and the set up is staffed by very few people and they were exceptionally helpful. I think just walking in may work.

What did your lawyer say about this? Now you have a delivery confirmation, did you lawyer suggest that USCIS consider the dates as of last year and process your resubmitted application. Certainly it is not your fault,,
They said that they would request an exception in our case. We are going to request that based on our original submission date that our pending case have a current priority date. All dates were current for our case up until the April visa bulletin.
I am really hoping that USCIS sees this error. Has anyone had any experience with USCIS? And were they cooperative?

Can some one advice whether I can qualify for EB-2 Category?
I am a Chartered Accountant from India with 10 years of Post Qualification Experience.
I am currently working on H1B since last 1 year and working as System Consltant for last 4 years.
I do not have any other master degree like M. Com / M.Sc etc.
Would I qualify for EB-2 Category ?

So it would be tough to make a case for EB2.

Note that the requirement is prospective. Where, or if, you are employed prior to the final adjudication of your I-485 is relevant only to the extent that it is one way to establish the bona fide nature of your intent to accept or continue employment in the required occupation.
