Off Lately in this forum and thru my freinds I am hearing premiums are also getting delayed..
Even in My case Fedex has reached uscis on Jan 17 , for me and my family but checks have not yet got cleared..
my lawyer says , nowadays the delay is because vermont cases are getting transferred to Calisfornia center for H1 Extension ..
Not sure what is the truth...Just waiting for Premium H1 extension to get cleared soon...

Hi,
I have been filed in EB2 with a priority date of Feb 26 2007.
What you guys think about the possibility of my PD getting current this year?
I know that it needs a crystal ball to predict such horrendun things like PD movement, but I am just trying to get a poll on the general feeling about the spillover this year.

You can check out the EB3-EB2 calculations thread. You have a decent chance of getting your GC by September 2011 based on the predictions there.

They expire after a certain amount of time. Just go take them as they want you to. You don't want anything to get delayed in the future just because you don't want to be bothered with them today.

i could not get answer for this question. for all ppl filed AOS between 2nd july and 17th august, will they process GC application based on PD or RD ?
Person A : PD august 2005 and I-485 filed on : 15 th july
Person B : PD august 2006 and I-485 filed on : 2 nd july
who will get GC first ? Person A or person B ?

Based on what they did in July Visa bulletin It can be anything .But as per rule quoted by my Lawyer.
USCIS will retrogress the Dates in October say they made May 2002. In that case Neither A or B will get AOS
Now say in January 2008 the PD was made September 2005, In that case Person A will get first
But If in January 2008 the PD was made September 2006,In that case Person B can get it first because his Recieve date is first

I've been thoroughly unsuccessful trying to guess what they want to see. Not that any of the chosen finalists have been bad, I've just wondered how some entries could have been left out. The criteria seem a bit mysterious or arbitrary, so... I'll just shoot something/anything for fun, and if it suits the jury - cool. :)

However I am hugely opposed to vaccinations ever since I had a hideous reaction to a flu shot, but I'm opposed to vaccines especially in pregnancy and USCIS will not accept me not having the tetanus vaccine. Our immigration doctor said I have no choice. I also don't like the mercury and formaldehyde that they put in vaccines and the fact they say it "won't hurt" my baby doesn't go well with me at all. One can have more than one H1B at a time. So you can ask the second company file for transfer too. If you worry about the first petition, and you feel comfortable to do so, talk about it with the attorney of the second company. Or, you can call USCIS and ask a immigration officer.
I joined a new employer in May and also had applied for H1B transfer at that time. Now I have a very good offer from another firm but my first H1B transfer is still pending. The new offer is much more rewarding financially. Is it possible to apply for H1 B transfer to the new employer without jeopardizing my H1B status. Please note that I got laid off in April and I was in a hurry to get the new job then, it was also about just over a month when I applied for my H1B transfer since losing that job so I am kind of nervous about the results from USCIS.

After the stab at Sony that Canon made in the press release stating they were releasing ~ 20 cameras this year, you don't think they'd let Sony get that far ahead, do you? :p
In my opinion, one of the more intriguing product announcements from Nikon today was the Coolpix 8700. If it improves significantly from the Sony, that could be a killer product. Right now, Canon is lacking a bit in the true consumer DSLR market. But then again, PMA is right around the corner. I filed this week my N400 based on a 5 years rule;
I am a freelance book writer and a web market engeneer;
In 2005 I was let go from my job; I filed for unemployment and I traveld to Asia working part time as writer and looking for a new job and find new places to write about in my book;
the trip lasted 5 months,
I attached my taxes for the last 5 years to the application:
will CIS look at the taxes for 2005 and look at the unemployment benefits together with my international travel?
AM I in trouble when I show up for the interview? I am concerned

First of all if it is PP you will get possible approval in few days.
It may not be a good idea to go for stamping with only 3 months remaining on I-797; and these days they are also issuing 221g left and right.

If you get fired you will loose your H1 status but can definitely change your status to H4. However, you will be subjected to the cap if you want to come back on H1 unless you find a job with a non-profit org.
